This one has "so far" worked well but I had to send the first one back "DOA" from the start.
They use these back ups where I work and have 100's of PC, so I figured they must be the best because the one hooked up to my work PC has never failed me in the six years I've worked for the company.Ralph Speer
We've had a couple of power blinks since we've had it and it has done what it is supposed to. It isn't powerful enough to handle her multifunction laser printer (no surprise there) but I was able to plug the printer into the surge protection only side of things. I ordered this for my wife's computer. It's kind of a low-end model but suits her needs.
I just feel safer knowing there is a few minutes of time for me to shutdown my devices gracefully if a power outage occurs.I bought two of these for my widescreen TVs and entertainment center equipment (DVRs, cable boxes, DVD palyers, etc). When it comes to surge protection on my valuable electronics, I buy these APCs instead of standard surge protectors.
Our neighborhood is prone to numerous brownouts and brief power outages.This backup has served my laptop well, providing the "juice" needed at all times. I have come to trust APC products and this one has not dissapointed me.
